Our children are encouraged to become confident, caring and articulate, using their abilities to the fullest.
We provide a learning environment that enables the children to acquire a wide range of knowledge, skills, and practical abilities. We aim to meet the needs of all children as we strive for excellence in all we do. It is important to us that your child loves learning at Meon Junior School. At Meon Junior School, our intent is aligned with both infant schools within the Federation and our curriculum is designed to build upon the learning in the first key stage. Reading is at the heart of our curriculum; we introduce our pupils to exciting, challenging books so that our pupils learn to love words. They can talk enthusiastically about books and authors and they become increasingly articulate and speak confidently.
We place high importance on the arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) curriculum to ensure our pupils experience the breadth of learning they will need for the future. We are passionate about being active with daily physical activities and a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, including sports teams and field gun. We offer an exciting curriculum with the aim to ensure that our children are well-prepared for the next stage in education.
